Egypt’s mobile payment and Loyalty platform startup, Zeal, raises a six figure seed funding.

Egypt based mobile payment and loyalty platform startup, Zeal Rewards, has raised an undisclosed six figure investment from an angel investor to scale operations in both Egypt and UK.

The startup was founded in 209 by Omar Ebeid, Bella Mohamed, and Amr Mohamed and is currently a part of SETsquared, a university incubator in the UK.

The Zeal platform is an all-in-one loyalty app that consolidates the basic loyalty stamp cards onto a digital platform. The app allows merchants to retain their customers, cross-sell to customers of other merchants, collect data analytics and offer personalized rewards. The app accepts contactless QR code remote payment and business owners can also send their customers remote-payment links.The app also helps businesses to build their own customized loyalty programs, analyze customer visits, communicate with customers and create targeted marketing campaigns.

“The dashboard enables vendors to view actionable insights to trigger consumer behavior, engage with customers through targeted offers, push notifications and analyze customer data to increase their purchasing frequency and customer loyalty,” said the startup in a statement.

Omar Ebeid, founder and CEO at Zeal, said, “With financial inclusion prioritized by the Central Bank of Egypt and a population of 100 million, Zeal is bringing Egyptians a seamless and rewarding mobile payments experience. We are targeting multi-sited food and beverage outlets, beauty salons and barbershops that are serving affluent and tech-savvy consumers.”
