Argineering, an Egyptian startup raises $200k via Kickstarter for the launch of its new RGKit Play.

Argineering, an award winning startup reimagining the way the creative industry connects with people, has raised $200,000 through Kickstarter, a crowdfunding platform.

Founded in 2018 by Islam Gamal and David Erian, Argineering allows its clients, through a modular wireless kit of motors, light controllers and sensors to add tons of movement designs instantly with a phone app. The technology has been used globally by luxury brands and top creative agencies like Hermes, Selfridges, Jelmoli, Charles Tyrwhitt among others.

The startup won 1st place in the 2018 Hona AlShabab Competition (biggest TV competition for startups in the MENA region), and the 2018 RiseUp summit pitch competition (largest entrepreneurship summit in the MENA region).

The RGkit play are wireless and once you switch on the modules, they will automatically sense each other and connect to your phone. Contributors to the campaign will receive a discount on the new kit. The raised funds will help the startup scale and diversify its clientele as well as channeling some of it into startup’s shift to mass production.
