Cairo-based ecommerce solutions startup, FwRun, has struck a deal that will have KSA’s last mile company aggregator, DIGGIPACKS, partially acquire it, in a move underpinning both companies’ expansion plans between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Launched in 2020, DIGGIPACKS, provides its services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of e-commerce and retail, where the company provides storage services and shipping services through strategic partners in both parts.
On the other hand, FwRun, was launched in Cairo in the last quarter of 2019 as a fulfillment center that provides storage and handling services, and has been able to attract a number of merchants interested in the service.
The acquisition, will see DIGGIPACKS and FwRun exchange resources and technology, as well as expertise in ecommerce, retail and digital transformation.
Khaled El-Nimr, FwRun’s CEO and Co-founder expressed his optimism regarding the expansion of the two companies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as this alliance will enable the provision of high-quality technology in the Egyptian market, in addition to the possibility of growth in cross-border trade opportunities between the two countries, which contributes to enhancing the growth opportunities for the Small and medium enterprise.
